Burns Night at The Chequers – Thursday January 22nd
The Chequers
Burns Night is a time for warmth, laughter, tradition and good company — and we’re bringing all of that to The Chequers with an evening dedicated to Scottish flavours, music and heritage.
Join us on Thursday 22nd January for a specially curated menu inspired by classic Scottish favourites, reimagined with The Chequers touch. Enjoy delicate haggis bon bons, whisky-kissed neeps & tatties, rich venison carpaccio and a beautifully crafted raspberry cranachan to finish — the perfect balance of comfort, nostalgia and indulgence.
To complete the experience, the night will feature a traditional bagpipe performance from The Cotswolds Bonnie Piper, filling the room with the unmistakable sound of Scotland. We’ll also honour the great poet himself with a dramatic reading to address the haggis — a moment full of character, ritual and celebration.
Whether you’re a long-time Burns Night enthusiast or discovering the tradition for the first time, it’s an evening made for gathering with friends, sharing fine food, and raising a glass together. Arrive from 7pm and immerse yourself in a Scottish-themed celebration in the cosy heart of the Cotswolds.
Two courses for £38 or three courses for £46.
Book your table here, settle in by the fire, and make a night of it. Slàinte!
