New Season, New Flavours: Discover the Latest Menu at The Chequers
The Chequers
There’s something special about summer dining — long evenings, good company, and food that makes you want to slow down and savour every bite. Just in time for the season, we’re excited to launch our brand-new seasonal menu at The Chequers — and it’s packed with flavour.
New Starters & Snacks
Whether you’re after a lazy lunch, a relaxed dinner, or just a bite with a drink out on the terrace, there’s plenty to tempt you.
Fresh Dishes, Seasonal Flavours
We’ve brought in a few stars to the lineup, including the Barnsley Chop — rich, satisfying and grilled to perfection — and the indulgent Cornish Lobster Roll, ideal for indulging on those sun-soaked days. For sharing, the Chateaubriand is a real showstopper. Pair it with our bone marrow and parsley salad, homemade onion rings and a glass of something red.
There’s something for every appetite with our expanded range of small plates and snacks. Try the crispy calamari with chilli jam or perhaps our juicy Cotswolds lamb koftas, — perfect for pairing with a cold pint or a glass of something white.
Of course, we know some favourites are non-negotiable. You’ll still find our twice baked cheddar soufflé and mouth-watering duck salad on the menu, just as delicious as ever. Not forgetting our beloved Sunday roasts—served every week with all the trimmings— corn-fed chicken, loin of pork, or dry-aged Hereford sirloin of beef with perfectly cooked crisp roast potatoes, seasonal veg, rich gravy, and towering Yorkshire puddings. One of the best Sunday roasts in the Cotswolds!
So whether you’re planning a long lunch on the terrace, a dinner with friends, or just popping in for a drink and a snack — our new menu is ready and waiting here.
